MRS. ELLEN MALMSTROM
Mrs. Ellen Malmstrom, 82, of 1112 34th Ave., Moline, a resident of Moline 74 years, died at 10:55 Saturday night in her home. She had been ill six weeks. Services will be at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon in Esterdahl Chapel with the Rev. Richard Turnwall of Betheany Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Friends may call at the chapel. The former Ellen Bloom, daughter of Knute and Breta Marie Bloom, was born March 20,1874, in Vastergotland, Sweden. She came to America, directly to Moline, when she was 9 years old. She was of Swedish Baptist faith and was a member of the WBA Lodge. On Dec. 9, 1899, she was married to Karl Malmstrom in Moline, and he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1952. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Pascoe, Moline; four sons, Crawford, Hillsdale; Leslie, Texas; Richard, Moline, and Eugene, Milton Junction, Wis.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. John Welling, East Moline, and Mrs. Helga Donnelly, Moline. Three sisters and a brother preceded her in death."
