Knut Doret Bloom
Knut Doret Bloom, long time employee of Deere & Co., and a resident of this city for thirty-four years, passed from the home, 1536 Eighteenth Street, Tuesday evening at 6:50 from infirmities incident to age. Mr. Bloom was born in Sweden, Dec. 5, 1845, and there grew to manhood. Thirty-four years ago he immigrated to this country, direct to Moline, and a short time later entered the employ of Deere & Co., for which concern he worked till retirement was occasioned by advanced years.
His wife died about a year ago. He is survived by one son, Walter, of Moline, and four daughters, Mrs. Carl Wahlstrom, Mrs. Thomas Donnelly, and Mrs. Carl Johnson of Moline, and Mrs. John Welling of East Moline. Eight grandchildren are left to morn his passing. 
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the home. The Rev. Edward Ekstrom pastor of Salem Lutheran Church, will be in charge. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery." [Section 14 - Lot 606]
