Charles A. Zuccarello
Charles A. Zuccarello, 53, of 2028 16th Street, Moline died Thursday at Lutheran Hospital after an extended illness.
Arrangements are pending at Esterdahl Mortuary, Moline, where visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Zuccarello was born in Centerville, Iowa. He married Erma M. Donnelly Thomas in April 1950 in Rock Island.
He was employed in building maintenance at the Deere Administration head quarters for 27 years, retiring in 1973.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Moline Elks Lodge 656, Moline, Vikings and East End Club.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, J. Stephen Thomas, Moline, and Allen K. Zuccarello, Rock Island; a daughter, Mrs. Carmen Frantz, Moline; five grandchildren; a brother, Joe Zuccarello, Davenport, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Peterson and Mrs. Jean Barton, both of Des Moines (Iowa), Mrs. Pat Creagan, Centerville, Iowa, and Mrs. Rose Coussens (?), Moline.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation."
NOTE: Charles is buried at the National Cemetery on the Arsenal Island at Rock Island County, Illinois, USA in Plot: N - 189. Erma is buried with Charles.
